I stopped drinking coca cola roughly on October 16th, 2010. That lasted about 6-8 months. At first I limited myself to 1-2 cans a day, then I inevitably went back to my original consumption. However, on January 26th, I gave up soda completely (due to necessity). Rather than give up caffeine totally, I opted to replace my caffeine intake with iced tea and coffee. That seems to help offset the desire to pick up a can and drink. It's been just over a month that I've been soda free.
